DR LENNON SWART
Dr Lennon Swart is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience. He worked in child and family services in a large NHS trust as a frontline clinician but also held numerous clinical leadership positions which included that of head of child and adolescent psychology, and clinical director. Alongside his clinical work Lennon has worked in the Family Court arena as an expert witness, undertaking assessments of children and adults. Lennon has a longstanding interest in family breakdown and associated parental psychopathology, and their impact (attachment, behaviour, cognition, and emotional functioning) on children.
Clinically, Lennon has substantial experience in assessing children and young people with all forms of neurodevelopmental (e.g. ASD and ADHD) conditions, behaviour problems, and psychological disorders. He has particular experience in the management of anxiety disorders and self-harm.
Lennon is a chartered psychologist in three divisions of the British Psychological Society (Clinical, Counselling and Educational) and he is a full member of the Division of Neuropsychology. Lennon has a specialist qualification in clinical neuropsychology, which covered adult and child neuropsychology, which is of particular relevance in Court assessments in relation to the matter of capacity.
Lennon has extensive experience in supervising clinical trainees, qualified psychologists of all grades, and psychologists practicing in the Court arena.
